NET CREDIT UNION WON THE 2018 LEADERS IN FINANCIAL LITERACY AWARD FOR STUDENT LOAN SEMINARS

Scranton, PA March 7, 2018 – NET Credit Union is recognized again as leaders in financial literacy for the second year in a row. The PCUA, Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, awarded NET Credit Union their Leaders in Financial Literacy Award for Student Loan Seminars presented to their members and Preferred Partner Groups. The Marketing Department led numerous presentations throughout 2017 at both our new downtown Scranton branch and our Preferred Partner Groups. In 2016, NET was also awarded as leaders in financial literacy for their Credit Score Seminars.

The Student Loan Seminars educate the audience on not only what potential majors are offered, but more importantly the payment process. NET hosts “Lunch and Learns” at their branches and inside local businesses. For these free presentations, the Credit Union provides lunch while having a conversation about personal finances. Topics include raising your credit score, student loans, identity theft and soon mortgages. The presentations are led by the Marketing Departing, and all of the employees at NET make this program so successful by adding new members or enhancing our loan growth.

The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is a nonprofit trade organization that provides services and representation to credit unions through the Commonwealth. The PCUA has played an evolutionary role in the credit union movement since 1934. NET will accept the award in May at the PCUA’s Annual Conference at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pa.
