Members of NET’s Philanthropy Team Filled Customer’s Gas Tanks For Their Holiday Travels

Scranton, PA December 13, 3017- On Wednesday, November 22, 2017, members of NET Credit Union’s Philanthropy Team hosted their annual “Philanthropy Giving Event” at The Gulf on Mulberry Street in downtown Scranton. This year, the team decided to give in a different way. The Philanthropy Team filled customer’s gas tanks for their holiday travels. For the past two years, the team usually would travel to different tree farms and pay for people’s Christmas trees.

The outcome of this year’s giving event went even better than the team expected. “People helping people” is the credit union motto. NET truly enjoys giving back to the community in any way possible. For 2017, NET Credit Union donated over $60K to local charities, schools and organizations. The credit union as a whole is extremely thankful that we are able to help out as many people as we can-even if it’s just filling their gas tanks! NET is able to succeed and grow all thanks to our members.

Exciting plans on giving back to the Lackawanna County community are already in the works for 2018. Our Philanthropy Team has even grown. For our first meeting in January 2018, we will have a total of 10 members from diverse departments throughout the company. NET Credit Union hopes everyone in our community has a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
